I have been exploring the idea that what keeps things from happening the way we want them to is resistance within us.
Resistance comes from old thoughts, early life decisions, beliefs, childhood programming and sometimes trauma. These blocks are mostly at the level of the unconscious mind.
You could take the next 10 years of your life and go into therapy to discover what resistances you have or . . . . .
Do I have your attention?
Or you could just do a simple practice to release those blocks.
Here’s what I do:
I have a clear thought about what I want and then I feel what it would feel like to have that. For example, I want to have total well-being so I imagine my body, mind, and heart healing and thriving. Then I feel what that feels like. For me there would be a sense of energy, aliveness and ease.
I daily review those thoughts and feel those feelings.
After I reviewed those thoughts and feelings, I next release any resistance I might have inside that would block my total well-being from happening. I breathe in the healing and well-being and breathe out any resistance to the well-being I desire.
Do this 30 days and there will be positive shifts taking place that will help the resistance melt away and the results come into your life.
